One of the really nice things about the Sazabi is the level of detail on the inner frame. One of the tricky aspects is figuring out what’s the best way to paint that frame and it’s components to best take advantage of the detail.Alclad polished brass has really helped define the look of this kit for me. I’m using it for a all the detail pieces that connect the thrusters to the frame. And it works great on these shoulder joints too. The arms have a very good design, and I like how the hydraulics get incorporated. You can’t really ever have enough hydraulics on a mech frame. The completed arm frames work really well. The polished brass stands out great against the gunmetal of the frame and the gunmetal+smoke of the dark armour sections. This part of the shoulder section went together well. Again, the polished brass works really well to compliment the flat coated gunmetal. But these additional sections of the shoulder were a touch tricky to fit into place. Again, the chrome detail sections contrast well with the flat gunmetal and polished brass. I’ve got a feeling this colour scheme is going to work, and the completed frame is going to look great.
Gorgeous colour combinations on the frame parts.
I’ll be doing a full frame assembly and photography while I work on the outer armour. The frame on this kit is superb and deserves to be seen.
