The Sazabi is a pretty large 1/100 MG kit. But how big is it?Next to the 1/60 PG Astray Red Frame, it stands up pretty good, especially in the bulkier transformed mode, and the shield is large enough to almost make the Astray envious.Continue Reading ››
Not had a chance to do much Gunpla recently with a trip to CES, and I've got a new desk in my office so my little photography area has gone. As soon as I find a new spot for it, I'll get it set up and see about getting pictures taken of Saber San and … Continue Reading ››
Toronto area was hit with a massive ice storm last weekend, knocking out our power for 24hrs (and some smaller power cuts too) and my internet. Normally blogging will be resumed once we have everything sorted.
So fortunately we got our internet connection back, and life can continue!
I was getting pretty fed up of getting dirt or dust on model pieces, trying to hold them with my pliers while painting, or how to balance them to dry safely so I've invested in a large back of small alligator clips. So, an Elyn Kashatryia just arrived from HobbyMate in Singapore. I've had a quick look and it's going to be an interesting build for sure.... Not a perfect kit by the looks of it (a bit fragile, nub marks, moulding marks etc.) but well done packaging, art-work, manual printing in full colour, bag (yes, … Continue Reading ››
My first Macross kits arrived from HLJ. I remember building an old Valkyrie kit back in the early 80s, and was always annoyed it wasn't a proper transforming kit. Now I can finally build one with the new VF-1A/S and Strike Pack. From the HLTV forums I was recommended the Armored Messiah.
I got some new … Continue Reading ››
I've decided to start on the Red Valvrave 1. Looking into the kit, I'm rather disappointed that the stickers for the logos are not on a clear background, which is going to make it tricky to do a nice painted build.
